Hard going atm mate 1 or 2 size codling getting caught the gateshead area of the tynes probs best for sport

Cheers for the info lads I might hit the copthorne soon if any1 knows ov or hav caught owt there recently. It's my regular spot now. Haha it seems to be the only spot where I can actually catch a fish. I read in the last Thursdays chronicle tht an 8 or 9lb cod was caught there lucky buggars. This is one that a fella just up from me was fishing. The last time I was out.

I will most certainly upload any pics of anything I get when I next get time to go

Plenty of undersize codling kicking about, although a few cracking whiting were showing up at the weekend when i was down at the stadium area of the river.Mind keep an eye out for the seal.....came up right in front of me with a cracking salmon in his gob lol stayed for ages gobling it up.

Fished Hebburn Riverside at the weekend. Two rods one with blow Lug on a 2 hook flapper and one with mackerel on a 2 hook flapper. Kept busy thoughout and ended up with 14 fish. 11 Codling, 2 Whiting and 1 Flounder. Only problem was that the biggest Codling was only about 8 inches long and the Whiting were skinny. Hoped for at least one sized but was not to be :(

North Shields fish quay infront of flats (the courts) with the yellow mooring post to your left this mark never fails me. People say its to snaggy but I disagree you need to hit a cast 80-100 yds and you hit a sand bar where you will get double shots of dabs tings flounder and good size coalies with mr codling putting in an appearance now and again ;-)
