I once put a picture of a dozen bass on i caught. Big mistake. Same size as fishmongers in Morrisons but not keeper size for fishing. They are much bigger.
Never caught so many in one go and shared out with famliy and neighbours.
These days i just put them back.
Your whities look ok so best of luck.
Probs have died if you hoyed em back any way.
ps just as well you did,nt leave your plug on the drainer-mine was used as an official measuring aid.
Mick.

Nice session mate, I return all the whities I catch only to find most of them float belly up and die. Your catch is not being wasted, hope the seal man enjoys his fish cakes. :)

Regards Rushy

I know that now Bill but did not at the tine when i caught my dozen. In fact when we holidayed in Cyprus last year you could see the big massive circular nets out at sea were the Bass were kept.
The day i caught my dozen was the first time i had caught one and i got wrapped up in the moment.
Since that time i have let all of them go including one about 3lb i caught in compo in Northern Ireland.
I feel better watching the old spikeys swimming off.
Mick.

still a nice catch mick,as you say nice to return them, we all live and learn, its a shame we have certain fishermen around the country that take small bass because they are a great fish to catch and release
