Got there a couple of hours before high tide, first cast got a sizeable dab (returned) and I thought it was going to be a good day, but it was two hours before my next bite, an undersize whitey, fishing was slow but I was getting hit and run bites, even holding the rod and striking at the bites I could not connect. The right hand side of the pier was were all the flounders and a couple of sizeable whiteys were being caught. The person fishing next to me had a small bite at which he struck and landed a nice two and a half pound codling the only one. Most of the fish were caught as the tide dropped and died off after a couple of hours. The weather was excellent with a warm afternoon and the iceing on the cake was sitting on my box watching the full moon rising above the horizon turning from a pinkish red to bright white. Left at 7pm a happy man.
Bait used Lug,Rag,Runnydown, Squid and Mackeral.

well done Dave. I,m hoping to get down Sunday for high tide. Bought a more economical motor so should,nt hurt the pocket as much with the 60 mile round trip.
