sounds like your on about 'london rock'.

it can be a good shot over lw, get some good coalies in summer. very rocky and full of kelp.

there are no 'specicific' holes as such to aim for, just walk to the end of the rock and chuck east(ish) between 50 and 80 yds.

allthough you do get quite a bit of time on there, the tide does come around the back of you, so watch for that - as those boulders are not easy to get over when they are under water :)

off the large flat rock beside the pier your lobbing into a gully that 60yds off the pier runs parrallel to the pier befor going out.

as ste said though its full of kelp and its a challenge getting anything out.

over high tide it can be fished off the pier.

at the end of the wall cast 80yds straight out, you,ll get more gear back from there.

you rarely see people fishing it now, but we did get some nice fish from there years ago.

Had a 3lb cod from there last year, and some coalies. Dangerous though, if you're not quick enough you'll be cut off and the tide comes in like a good un, i found out myself :red: kelp central, but give it a go you never know.

Have you noticed how some of the old boys fish just after the fence into the rocks. If you know where to cast its not bad getting gear back and some good fish come up. Most people rush straight to the end.
My uncle used to fish the lighthouse corner when i was a kid. Only tried it once or twice and was very snaggy.
Never fished off the rocks but looks canny.
Mick.

thats what i was thinking maybe have a couple hours over low water during daylight just to get ued to being down there and get an idea of what its like

i used to fish just after the fence on the 1st bit post thats left , used to do ok at night this time o year, gear loss was minimal tbh , probs 70/80 yards lob . last 3 of the flood being the best times .
