Not sure if this is in the right section but just in case anyone else is tempted;

Mate of mine was given for Xmas a " Catch and cook" day gift token with that prat.
Go to Dorset,go out on a boat then cook the catch.
He took a week of work and went down there from Newcastle,day before he got a call,trip was off.
Tough.
No refund,no come back,get another date and if you cannot get then tough.
Even though my mate expalined that he had took a weeks holiday he got nowt.
So much for his caring image

i would defo write a letter to him, and explain about taking a week off work and not receiving a refund or apology or anything If you still dont get anywhere i would go to the papers, its the last thing he needs after getting a hammering about his chickens in tesco. :red:

hang on chaps

he was offered another date !!!

what if someone from Dorset had booked up to go on ,Lets say the Sarah JFK (if its still about ,never go out in boats) and had also took a week off work - but then on the way up the sea turns nasty and the boat cannot go out - would the skipper give all pre paid bookings back or offer another date ??

I dont know what the rules are ,but refunds are not a Cert in this world

Yeah but it was more then a trip on a charter boat.
It was a package deal that was lets face it,on the back of his TV fame.
He could have offered the cook bit and maybe a couple of books thrown in if the boat ould not get out.
Plus given the weather when my mate was there,i did ask,i doubt that was the reason.
Instead nothing.
Plus the cost was way beyond the cost of a days charter.
