I spoke to a lad on Sunday when I was digging he said he caught a 7lb Huss from Craster Harbour wall last weekend, anyone else caught one around these parts, never asked if he looked at NESA if he does maybe he\'ll leave some more details

i know fishfinder had a doggie up that way, but a huss, 7lb must have given a good fight and to haul it up the wall, must have been hard work. thats twice today i have read posts with not ya normal run of the mill fish being caught off our coast.

cheers
mark :D

Well the chap may be correct in his asumption, but more likely to be a dogfish. But nice if it was a Huss. something different for the area.

One heck of a (lesser spotted) dog at 7lb, the shore record is 4lb 15oz. More likely to be a huss at that size. Good size fish though, interesting that they are starting to be caught on the East coast more. There are some marks in the SW and Wales where you can get one a cast all night yet relatively rare this far North.

I know that there caught north of Amble which Craster is Possibly might of had his weights a tad out.LOL But who knows good luck to the guy.

apparently there not uncommon remember reading this on north east fishing at the start of the year... the bottom of the page
