I gave up after a couple of hours, like you say Jim, the line was just getting pulled down the beach! I had intended moving to the river, but my mind wondered to my case of fosters chilling in the fridge on the way, just swigging my first can now to warm me up!
Gutted mate I was hoping you were going to sign in tonight and say you had had a great night.
Havn\'t a clue where to go on Monday. Might try Tynemouth or Whitley bay beaches. Thanks for the report though.
Anyone out fishing on Monday night go to the Sluice beach cos if I\'m not there the Cod will be this year lol.
As I was getting my gear out the car, a guy leaving was saying he reckons it will fish better tomorrow night. I\'m at the match tomorrow, but might try again on monday!
btw, I found a blue rod bag on the beach if anyone has lost one???
Keith, low water is at 18:24 on Monday night if you can get there early enough to fish the sand bar it might be worth a chuck mate. Any later you might be struggling. Didn\'t realise this when I posted before.
Lmao so do I Keith, not for fishing just for catching Codling or even better Cod.
Never gone so long without catching them before.
IT\'S NOT BOTHERING ME AT ALL THOUGH.
Had a few hours down on the pier tonight from 8:00 \'til 3:00....just fished the harbour side.
Ian had a nice codling of around 1 1/2Lb - lovelly colour and condition (the fish, that is...not Ian)
I had 4 whiting.....all good sized around the 1 1/2 mark.
All fish were returned.
By it was a bit parky down there tonight......especially with that bit breeze........-3.5 according to the thermometer...... -7 according to my fingers !!
Just come back from the coast and it seems exactly the same at the Sluice Keith. The beach at the middle toilets was definately unfishable. North end of the beach was ok.
Talking to a guy who had just come off the pier and he had caught a small Coley and a small Rockling. He reckoned the only other fish on the pier was a one of about a pound and a half that he was told about pulled in off the end. He Wasn\'t sure what it was but thought it was a Codling.
Hope it picks up soon.
Just looked at the wether for tomorrow 25 mph westerlies smashing.
Tony, she who must be obeyed dragged me down to Makro on Saturday. While we were there a very nasty lady FORCED me to try some single malt that they had on special.\"Isle of JURA\", Must say it is VERY nice. My arm is getting better as I speak lol.
