iraq hostage killing

My Brother works there, your right they are nasty people.....he says the locals are really nice people but you can\'t trust them 100%.He says its really sad they\'ve had such a shit life...... :(

just watched the video of the american getting his head cut off

they are nasty b\'stards

indeed. Pretty grisly stuff.

I for one think it should be broadcast on network television, in the hope it would show the masses just how fcuked up the whole thing is and sort it out.

probably just make the yanks want to thow more bombs on the innocents

Mark ,sorry i don\'t agree on that one, these people want maximum publicity, this group believe they are bigger than al Qaeda and we all know whhat they are capable of doing,you\'ve also got to think of there families and friends. If you give in to demands they will start kidnapping at will, most of the kidnapping is for ransom demands and are not political.

The trick is to turn their own people against these terrorists and let them deal with it. But short of beheading 100 innocent iraqi\'s for every 1 westerner, I can\'t see how it could be achieved.

Another possibility is to free these prisoners, but have them implanted with explosives beforehand. When they are safely home, hit the detonator button and take the lot of them out in one shot?

Starting to realise why I failed the interview for UN secretary general now?

I\'d like everyone to see it just to make them realise the horrors on all sides, but the reaction would probably just cause more problems all round and move the poles even further apart.

I\'m watching with interest the outcome of this lad from liverpool. I don\'t see how the stalemate will be broken as refusing to deal with them is one thing but refusing to even negotiate/talk to them is another. Blair might as send a wreath to his family now

AT some point both sides are gonna have to talk to each other. If they don\'t, more hostages will get killed, causing the americans to kill more iraqi\'s creating more hostage situations and on it will go.

the Americans don\'t want to admit it but they have created another vietnam. They have no exit route, only this time we are involved as well. They hace created a monster over the last 40 years with their own foreign policy and its gonna bite them back big style

Will we have the guts to withdraw and leave the americans on their own or are we gonna still be bringing body bags back in 15 years time.

I used to work with a lad who had been in the Army during the first Gulf war. He used to tell me that the morale went through the floor when they were told that their objective had been reached and they wouldnt be going into Baghdad to remove Saddam. Cannot help but think that if the politicians had decided to go for it back then we wouldnt be having this bother now.

Just seen the same film as Sless....I like to think I\'m not to easily spooked but christ......this was the most chilling thing I\'ve seen!!

As for a solution...I\'ve no idea. It\'ll take someone far more clever and resourceful than me. Realistically, I can\'t see a solution without further bloodshed though.

Jeff.

Think at the time it would have made the middle east to unstable.bare in mind they had weapons back then as well and i think it would have been alot harder then than it was the other year, also 9/11 had alot to do with them finishing the job off, well sort of.
My brother expects to be there for the next couple of years unless there is a massive change after the elections

just watched the execution video, also saw the one of nick berg getting beheaded, truely gory gut churning stuff. that is the reaction al-Zarqawi wants and anyone who views this will undoubtedly feel the revultion which al-Zarqawi wants them to.
my take on the situation which brought this about (the big picture if you like) is we had absolutely no right to go into iraq in the first place, remember when it suited america to have sadam as an allie in the past when iran was viewed by america as the danger. then a few years later they decide to oust him on the grounds of him being a danger and having weapons of mass destruction, and then suprise suprise none are found !
every time i see tony blair on tv i look for the strings, he really is mr bush\'s puppet. we have gone into a volatile situation and made things a whole lot worse for the iraqi citizens and ourselves.
as of mr.bigley my heart goes out to him and his family, unfortunately politicians have created a situation once again and are clueless as to how to fix it.

Why use such a barbaric method of killing someone, and then post the videao on the web. My answer is to get the sort of publicity they are now getting and cause the feelings they are achieving. Purely for publicity.

Unfortunately we can no longer sink to such levels, we have morals and civil rights which are held above any other consideration and as a result can never defeat terrorism.

If these murderers are caught they will be treated humanely and if put to death will go to their heaven and be regailed amongst their supporters.

My solution for what it is worth would be to catch them, try them and then if found guilty to put them to death, not humanely but by feeding them to pigs and letting their remains do some good. Lets see if they enter heaven now. If our reprisal hold more horror than the terrorist\'s actions then we may have a chance of stopping them. If we don\'t have the political will and backbone to take such drastic action we will have to accept years of the same.

Sorry guys, just my feelings.

if they kill ken bigley

the two iraqi women prisoners should be dragged in the street and have their heads cut off

HAWAY, lads.......
I know feelings are running high on this subject.......believe me....mine are, too.......but I don\'t think NESA is the place to be having this discussion.

I\'ve let you let off steam on here for the last couple of nights......we ALL need an oulet for the frustation & anger we have over this......BUT.....I do have a job to do on here.

Please show some restraint in your comments........I\'m sure we ALL have the same thoughts on this subject.......no need to go into them.

an eye for an eye isnt the solution
you cant remove a dictator from a country whos hellbent on replaceing him with another one, pull our lads out and leave em too it
cant say i like bush hes too gungho and blair wants to get off the bandwagon before it tips, gorilla warfare is what these people are best at so yes another vietnam, solution i dont think theres an easy one ,i say do the deal bring our lads home and all other westeners, put the gates up at imagration, and keep em out ,see how long it is before they start asking for aid

These people need help,if we stood back and did nothing it would have been wrong, rightly or wrongly its happened so they need support of some kind, but sadly i think its going to take a good few years to sort out,

makes me laugh though when the Government says theres \"no deals\"with terrorists,so what about Gerry Adams and Martin Mcguinness.

It all boils down to oil. The yanks are still nd have been for the last 10 years Iraq\'s biggest customer. They want the oil at any price. bush is an oilman (4th generation) dick chaney is an oilman. the economics for the americans are that as long as they are getting the lions share of the, and can control both its production and the price seet by OPEC, they will stay there. when the oil runs out they will be off like a shot and leave em to get on with it.

there are innocesnt people beoing slaughtered all over the world, sometimes on ascale bigger than Saddam\'s, but as those countries have nothing to offer the yanks they don\'t give a stuff.

Cartels which monopolise a commodity on a world level are illegal under international law, but hang on a mo, that exactly what opec is, a cartel which sets the price of oil. The vast majority of people on the OPEC governing council were put in position by....you guessed it the yanks. But no-one wants to break up that monopoly.

An independant Iraqi governement should be allowed to sell its oil to whoever it chooses and at what ever price it chooses. The constituation of the new iraqi goverment actually prevents them from doing this. the americans basically wrote themselves a 30 year lease on all the oil in Iraq
