Is it spring yet...?

Just cleaned up my shore gear and stowed it away tidily - only a week of 100mph Northerlys may tempt me out again to stand on an exposed shoreline in the vain attempt to catch a Cod

Which then drew me to my box of boaty gear - full of hokkais, flowing traces, pirks and big 10/0s for the those BIG fish :o:D my shiney TLD 15 that has yet to see the North Sea in anger...

...roll on the calmer seas, gentle westerlies and milder days for I'd like to see a Cod that is bigger than my 2.5lb shore average :D...even a full shot of macky pulling my string will be gratefully received

I dream of light west winds all yera round, cant stand shore winter fishing our days.

I agree mind cant wait for the tug of a cod on a twin tail or shad or the roll of a double ling on a half mackerel...just great.

just plotted the course for the trip back with the wee boat from inverness, and for some strange reason I made every waypoint on the 270 mile journey to be over a big interesting offshore wreck!, can't wait - cruise for a bit, fish a monster wreck way offshore thats probably never seen a fishing rod for a bit, have a bit sleep, wake up, have a shower, have another bit fish, bit cruise, bit fish, bit sleep.... I mean people pay for that sort of thing you know!

can't wait! just need to sort the menu out now....

The boat fishing certainly throws up another aspect of angling. I for one am looking forward to getting out on a few boats this spring and summer. Imust have a go off Whitby, cost is £45 for a day but i,ll save my pounds up and will see what happens.
I will also be going out from Craster with some lads from the club at work. I will be missing the first two dates because i,m in Cyprus but i am looking forward to the look outs.

Mick.

Yup Tony, my minds suddenly started thinking of all things boaty too... and also the summer tee-shirted fishing up the northumberland coast....absolute heaven... also.I,m eagerly awaiting the adventure and exploits of Mark and Ell's homeward journey ( another youtube vid please Ell..)...and if thats a wee boat...I just cant wait to see when you buy a biggun....lol.
