I can't fathom why they are shutting the pier when the seas are flat, although sunday was windy, thats understandable, but saturday was calm, no wind at all, yes a 5.6 tide but with no swell and waves, it would have been absolutely fine, and it was forecasted to be calm so just seems that Sunderland port is favouring the sailing club again, as they had boats out all along the end of pier and out on sea and it was the little 2 man sails as well...
Getting on about the harbour, has anyone heard if the rogue sailboat (sail number 18xxx) (blocked last 3 digits for legal reasons) has had his comeuppance yet? last count at end of summer was 13 rods over the side six at roker and seven at SSP
