Hello Fellas,
Have any of you fished this area? I\'ve got a cottage booked there for a week in the middle of April and from the map there looks to be some canny sea marks. I don\'t know if its worth taking the gear or not, so any advice on the area and what tackle, baits etc would be much appreciated.

Cheers & Tight Lines,

Tony

Hi Tony, fished just of kerrara the big island in front of Oban on les\'s boat,a bit of trolling about 20yrds out and had some nice pollack so well within casting distance with a lure, isle of seil is very similar ground.never tried for the pollack in april before though, should be the usual doggies about if you find a beach with a bit broken/mixed ground. you could also take a drive upto loch etive, its not far from oban and fish the north bank round about the priory area, theres a good chance of a few spurdog or a thornback ray there.

gogs.

Thanks for the reply Gogs - looks like it will be worth taking the gear then. Certainly make a change from fishing the rathouse.

Cheers

Tony
