hi all:)
been under forced house arrest for the past week due to me being in hospital
last weekend:(
anyways theres only so much tele you can watch and to stave off the boredom ive took up bird watching in my back garden(the featherd kind lads;))
i already have feeders set up in the back garden but dont really have time to keep an eye on them!
but this week i have and im so supprised how many types of birds you get in a urban garden!:o
blue tits
great tits
long tailed tits
coal tits
robins
wrens
black birds
sparrows
dunnocks
green finches
chaffinches
gold finches
greater spotted woodpecker
collard dove
wood pigeons
flying rats (pigeons:D)
i knew i had birds in my garden but that many:eek::eek:!!
mind i will have to be careful incase i start naming them and talking to them
as im not sure when im getting released:D:D

be prepared to be seiged by the bird watchers i thought i had a lot of species but cant beat that one or two rare ones there,still it will pass the time making cups of tea for them and boring them rigid talking about fishing, get well soon russel , davy.

yes ive got a few types there and its even more special as its in suburban walker lol!
yes i have a few tits i have haha!
especialy when i shout up the stairs to the wife that i have a pair of great tits on me fat balls!!!
lets just say i heard a thump then a WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!! haha!!

You'll be lucky to name them all mate. I know it looks like the same birds but sometimes there can be dozens of birds of the same species visiting your garden in one day!
No nuthatches? We get a few of them.

aye thats from getting some bird books off the mother inlaw a few years ago!
iknow most of the common bird species but it always helps to have a book handy haha!
no mark mate no nuthatches unfortunatley but finggers crossed!!
had waxwings and feildfares and redwings in our garden trees a few winters ago aswell!
 
It certainly is relaxing watching them, similar to when I am out fishing on my own, watching the world go by. The squirrels are entertaining too, even if some people find them a nuisance, I like them.

weve got a right crafty squirrel aswell mate!! had to use metal nut feeders as it chews right through the plastic ones haha!
i agree mate its nice to watch the world go by when your down the river or where ever!
lots of nature down there aswell with the the tyne slurping by!! bliss!
 
oh well been to docs and im off for the foreseable future due to the pills im on!!
will have plenty time to get more aqainted to bertie blackbird and gloria goldfinch then!! lol!!

well mark mate you must be physic because ive just seen a lone bullfinch in the back garden just now!!
absolutely stunning bird with the bright
pink chest!!!
thats a first for my list since we moved
here 3 and a half years ago!!
over the moon!!
ive got far too much time on me hands i
think lol!!
