Well just to let you know that you will need to wear your sunglasses when you walk along the west pontoon at the pool marina

as the boat went back into the water today and its looking good all been polished and new cover now fitted

had the engine serviced and new bildge pump fitted

so all i want now is flat calm seas and then the cod will be coming

seen the other members boats whils i was down there and all are looking good

Been down this afternoon, your boats looking errrmm very yellow with its shiney new cover on. :) :D

How come you keep your engine in the water ?

We gonna have a try out very early in the morning for a few hours, have to be back in by 9.30 tho.

Last year when we took the boat out of the water we noticed some corrosion on the brackett and a little weep on the hydraulic ram so when it was in for service it had a new brackett fitted and a new hydraulic ram fitted (all under waranty) the guy that did the work was a real gent and said it shouldnt realy be done on waranty but he would squeeze it through

he told me about the annodes and how they work and about the stresses on the ram if it isnt moved for a long time and advised to leave it down as sometimes i might not get to the boat for a few weeks

I remember some quotes from Dave Mason that used to be on here (well still is but lurking now :) )

"Once you buy a boat you will never stop spending money on her"

"There is always something needs doing"

"Watching weather reports becomes an addiction"

So true all of them, always seem to find new things to add or work to do and never stop spending, must have spent over £1600 since xmas on her but you only live once and work will be dropping off in 19 months time so i may only get two seasons of being a boat owner.

Hope you get out and get some fish, not long until it all kicks off now, 2 weeks i would say.

Cheers for the replies lads and as for spending money it never stops but it will be worth it soon i hope

coddy i will buzz you when i have a free day
