Jackie's Beach 5-Aug-2009

Tried fishing south shields pier for the first time on wednesday about 10 yards from the blocks. End of pier was packed with macky bashers. Ended up with 1 blenny & 2 lost bottoms.
Decided to try Jackie's beach in front of the firing range at whitburn.
Fished with rag,crab, mackerel & sand eel but only ended up with 1 good bite but no fish. Day was not wasted as I ended up with a sun tan & glorious queit afternoon on the beach.

Might have to give this another try.:red:

nice report mate. i thought you had a canny tan before you sat down on that nice camping chair on wednesday. I was fishing 20 yards further down from you and we had a bit crack on. unlike the masons who have a special handshake theres no telling who you might meet down there.
