Arrived at Jarra today at 4am carrying a bag of rag, some squid and some mackeral. Nobody else there then. Set up on the sticking out bit next to the wall on the far left which provided good shelter when the heavens opened but alas no fish - not even a knock so after three hours I moved along the railings to fish the part in front of the first seat. The first of the anglers for today started arriving about 7.30am just after which I caught two whiting both around three quaters of a pound and both returned. Then it went quiet again. I moved along to the other side of the skate park (just before the red buoys) and caught two more whiting of a similar size to the others before I ran out of bait around 11am. So seven hours fishing, four whiting caught and nothing worth taking home. Good fun though and nice watching the sunrise.
