Big Tel came over this morning to pick a table and chairs up, and after very little persuasion the house move was put on hold and fishing took priority.
Got to the marina for 11.15, and decided to try some new ground off Whitburn.
The sea was perfect..

Fishing was slow today and only 2 fish kept, a codling and a ling, a few macky and a shed load of whiting returned.

With selling my fridge freezer today was a bait fishing day, using up some of the frozen bait i had, Tel on the other hand still optomistic as ever was jigging away with pirks.

An enjoyable 4 hours had, despite the lack of keepers

Hey Chris, you are so easily side tract. Just cos the sea was nice and flat with light winds forecast etc, etc, but just as well,as the weeks forecast looks awful with wind and rain. Anyway, you got a couple for your efforts, did Tel get out! Nice report and pics. Good luck with the move next Friday

Just looking at the boats in that last picture reminded me how busy it was out there today , it was like grand central station in the rush hour up Amble , twice today I saw another boat

your right m8 its getting hard to get onto the fish lately looking at most reports ya never know some boat will come up trumps with a bumper catch before the season ends

back.........rested, burnt, liver pickled, and skint,

arrived back manchester 0700 in shorts and flipflops...to 10c and rain...heh heh i looked a right tw** filling up with diesel...

still got 10 days off.......
