Me and Big Tel had an early start today, down the marina for 6.30 and off to a perfect sea.:)
I was going to fish the rough ground off Souter, but the wrecks were calling and we were pleased we gave the rough a miss...:D

This carried on for 8 hours of fishing, with only 2 or 3 drifts without fish..

Total for the day was 108 fish, 95 cod, 1 pollock, 4 mackerel, and 8 ling, we kept 35 cod, 8 ling, 4 mackerel and the pollock, from then on we caught and returned in the hope of hitting a doubler but it wasn't to be.:(, we've never had a day like it, putting back 4, 5, 6lb cod.

Biggest of the day 8lb 2oz cod..:D

Nice report mate. Judging by all the reports this season I think we will either.

a)..... Have a monster season
b)..... Run out of fish!

I cant tell you the nunbers Duncan, but when i win i'll buy you your own boat in Sunderland marina, to save you twisting about the tunnel...:D:D:D;).

Fantastic, it was some day today, if that rained had stayed away it would of been up there in the top 10 boating days.

That trip will take some beating next weekend...but am sure you will try :)

Richy another day like that would kill me,i've read your reports in the past with mega numbers of fish but never realised how knackering it would be :o. From now on it's 15 mins break on the morning and 30 mins for lunch and a snooze around 2.00....:D:D
