That’s a mirror finish to be proud of, no surprise you’re happy with it. Your cabin boy must have used a few pots of elbow grease to achieved, it looks great.
In the second pic of Jester, the anchor looks to be fastened directly to the chain at the end of the shank. Have you tried shackling the chain to the head of the anchor and setting it to trip from the shank by securing with a couple of cable ties? It’s less likely to get lost that way.

Hi Kev,No cabin boy in sight, he took his missus to a car boot sale . The anchor is attached directly to the chain due to the gap between the bow roller and guide bolt being too narrow, all part of the 10 year plan to get it modified so i can use a trip system..

Thanks for the replies lads but after hours of cutting and polishing and me feeling like i've been hit by a train, plus the thought of getting it dirty, Jester is now only for sitting on and drinking tea...........Well thats what its been used for this past 3 weeks anyway....

Hope so Chris, are you getting out fishing ?, just got in from putting, Jester back in the water. Another 3 hours of cleaning done, god my arms are aching .

When the boat was in the compound it was lying down bank, and with the bailers being at the stern, all the rain built up and ran under the patio doors, flooding the cabin, never had a boat with a bilge pump in the cabin .

But all's well now, and i'm over the moon it's back afloat
