I would only use the orange peel if your targetting cod

An alternative might be pirks and big hokais/white feathers. Chrome pirks and white feathers were used by the guys who used to catch the big cod from the Gantocks mark in the Clyde in the 60's. Another of their secrets was to pirk in mid water as the cod come off the bottom when spawning and there may be a few doing that now. Apart from that I would ask the skipper what he recommends.

looks like the cod have gone on the prawn grounds
but if any one can find a cod or two alan can
try whole squid baits
