Couple of questions:

1. Do you have kids under 16 and do they fish?

2. Would they have any interest in a \"NESA Juniors\" section?

It\'s just an idea at the moment, but I\'m trying to find out if there would be any demand for such a section before I spend too much time on it.
Believe me, there\'s an awful lot to consider when thinking about providing access to an area on the \'net specifically for kids :exclam:

There wouldn\'t be any interactive bulletin board or a chatroom, but it could be possible for them to \"submit\" articles for uploading via either Elton or myself.

As I say......I\'m just trying to see if there\'d be any demand and if the area is likely to be used.

Yes he fishes and yes he would be interested in a junior section but I\'m not sure there will that much interest in it,maybe have a trial run to see how it goes, like Steve he reads some of the posts anyway or asks if theres any thing getting caught etc

bj has just started taking an interest but like steves youngen normaly sits with me while im on nesa and i let him read various sections ie not chat/barmaids bussom ,if there was major interest id say yes go for it but having just started next door it is a lot of work

Hmmmmm........seems like this may be a non-starter, then.

There was a \"Juniors\" area on the old NESA site and I was going to bring that back so the amount of work involved in \"creating\" one wouldn\'t be an issue. The time consuming part would be in the updating of the stuff currently on it.....ie uploading new input from any juniors who submitted items.

I\'ve wanted to provide an area on NESA for the young\'ns for years, but as you\'ll appreciate, such things as bulletin boards and chatrooms are fraught with dangers to kids.....and that\'s the last thing I\'d want.

Have a look at what the old \"junior\" section was like........

im not saying its a bad ida tony lol bj would love it if i left him to it for a while to click away but like you say the dangers involved if it was possible to create a user group for kids so only they and admin/mods could post in the area with e-mail verification by parents (as you like the hard work involved lol) or maybe a members only kids section to prevent new users saying there kids when there not (does that make sense?)so at least you know whos who ,,babbling now lol ,user group creation would seem the way to go with members adding there kids

\"as you like the hard work involved lol\"......

Lol..........Too many years in Local Government, Bri........I see NESA as providing a service and if there\'s a need or demand for a new service, then that\'s what I\'m here to provide. :)

karina just asked if she could join NESA a few weeks ago and i said yes, she uses this side so a kids section would\'t interest her i don\'t think, sorry TC

No need to be sorry, Paula..........I\'m chuffed that Karina joined the site.

As I said to Steve, that\'s just the sort of info I\'m after.

It\'s easy for peeps to say \"Yes, I think it\'s a great idea\", etc.......then I spend time setting up something only to find that it is never used.

I\'d much rather find out beforehand.......lol

What about me and Sless. I am sure we could do a kids section justice lol.
Joking apart I think it would be a great idea if there was the need.
Would love to see my grand bairn sitting arguing about which Barbie doll to use as bait.

Jim.
