this lot are all within a few miles of the tyne, some a lot closer than you'd think, and most are on some of the tyne lists that most people have, although one or 2 are incorrectly identified on the lists

You'll have to excuse my ignorance Mark, I assume that these are all wrecks that you fish over. Would that be correct ???

It doesn't take a genius to work out why the second from bottom one went down -

Boatbuilding man
"Note to self - make sure deck is above water or there are walls around it to keep nasty water away"

The last one obviously got into difficulties due to the huge size of it's wheel. Or is it a tiny boat with a normal wheel.

Are these pictures real mark?

being ex-navy I was interested to see the history of HMS Radiant...apparently it was sold to the Peruvians in 1920....it's a long way from home if it is the right ship...or is it a similar class ship?

got these from the ukho index. radiant has had a few names, when sol, the admiralty retained the name and renamed a sister a ship in the class. from what I can make out from the list, she was refitted and renamed HMS Cupar / HMS Rosslaire, given minesweeping duties. obviously not that good at it though as she hit a mine half a mile east of shields pier and sank.

the other pics are (probably! not quite 100% on a couple)

the oslo wreck is actually 2, possibly 3 wrecks sat on top of each other, one is the Chandris, but is believed there's a third unidentified wreck in the pile

started putting a wee site together ages ago, with a map/list, so thought it's be canny to try put some pics against the wrecks

got bound copies of the board of trade UKHo index, makes great reading some of the calamaties

I thats great that Mark, few wrecks on the list i have listed as the same name and can ubderstand why iget snagged :) am sure i have a few listed under other names on your list.

So far i have 147 wrecks from the pool upto Amble but sure loads more down there.

From whitby to berwick and up to 40 miles offshore there's about 4000 wrecks!!! Some of the ones listed are from the 1600's so doubt there'll be much left of those

my uncle told me to keep off ships as he was on the repulse so its the sub for me do you think i would need i fish finder or just look out the window ? jamcod

Any time you are short on numbers give me a bell. Are you berthed in the Tyne??? Live in Whitley Bay so an Ice Factory pickup would be most convenient

Cheers
