Been feeling unwell and not been bother to get grafting etc for the past year or so .
Had a medical for a new job in Harley Street London last Thursday. They found sugar and keytones in my Urine. Blood tests were taken aswell. Just had my local GP phone me to say Im type 2 Diabetic. Well just one more cronic ailment to add to the list.

No should be ok controled by tablets, but said I would most likely go on Insulin later, but I need to get it sorted

bad news John but at least you know whats wrong with you and theres no reason why you cant lead a normal life,a couple of my mates at work are in the same boat ;) and enjoy a normal life, they just learned to adjust.best of luck m8

i have been type 2 for more than a year now, have to say it doesnt stop me from doing anything, you just need to be more carefull on what you eat and the times you eat, have also found you cant drink as much alcohol as you used to.....at least you now know why youve been feeling poorly for a while

my \'better\' half was diagnsed type 1 16 years ago, which is controlled by insulin, so here\'s a scary thought, 16 years, 4 jabs a day times 365 days a year times 16 - thats over 23000 injections!

Initially we would count carbs and the like but that got boring, so now we (she) eats pretty much what we like and just adjust the insulin accordingly. At the end of the day its just a question of balance.

You\'ll soon get into the swing of it and it\'ll become fairly normal once you\'ve adjusted
