Do you use male or female crab? I thought I read it was female crab and only certain times of the year?

Just the females kieth. Whitby forum has a few good links in for kart. As does a few of the southern forums

Haha no mate they're in that tray because it was the biggest tray I could find to fit them in. They're in sausage skins mate

They're not very big mate maybes 1-1.5"

The only time they split is if you twist the skin too tight as it has done in the pic but if you freeze it then cut it and wrap it cling film it's fine
