Sure some lads will help you out on here,I would say you have plenty of choice on fishing spots from ashington,and trace wise,just like normal boat fishing daylights ect,would also try shads as well I use them all the time on the boat and get plenty of fish
If you havent already. Have a look at anglersafloat web site and go to venues plenty of posts on re launch and tactics including whitley blyth cambios newbiggin creswell hadson hauxley beadnell etc. (the tactics and advice in the venues is mainly for the summer. Winter fishing is more about scent then visual)
Also have a look at the lets meet section regular meets by local lads around 15 - 20 local members on that site.

with my boat now gone and no prospect of another till my kids are at school age i was thinking of getting a kayak, i have done some kayak fishing before and enjoyed it, but will miss my boat.
Well i got the go ahead from the mrs {not that i needed it.... honestly} So im on the lookout for a sit on top. Ive had a look around at the cost new and have decided to try go for a second hand one and if i cant get one maybe go for a new one.
If any guys can point me in the right direction as regards safety, electrical gear or other essentials i would be more than grateful.
