Keano

i hope he does well and gets safc promoted . i really miss the derbys!
i also hope that IF he does win promotion he can establish safc as a bottom 4 side :P

Got to admit I never liked him as a person. Hell of a player though. He might not have the experience as a manager but who does when they start out. I say give the bloke a chance to prove what he can do :)

ok the mans now branded as a hero, because he is associated with safc (pardon my french)

Yes he\'s a hero...as a manager jonny.

I think he\'s let the entire country down.

How?

If i new i was going to get sent off for pushing shearer i would of punched him (yeah definatly a sportsman)
the list goes on...

He would have had to join the queue, thousands of mackems in front of him!

The quote from the book is a cracking reason as to why sunderland fans are calling him a hero
:D :D :D

Jonny, better judges of football than you and me have called him THE best midfielder this country has ever seen. Yes he overstepped the mark a few times (as he admitted in his press conference), but are you telling me if NUFC had theoretically bought him in his prime, you\'d still be of the same opinion?

I think not.

Here you go Jonny, Saint Alan operating on Neil Lennon with his studs...

and another....

One thing puzzles me though....wheres the ball? Nasty nasty Alan, what a thug :D

erm to quote you davy

think there would be more mags infront off shearer if that was the case lol ,

i honestly think keane wont be your manager in 18 months time for a few reasons
1 he will fall out with quinn [ again ]
2 he will have most of the players falling out with him
3 he will expect free flowing attractive football [ cmon its sunderland ffs ]
4 hes 2 bloody arrogant and big headed

the best bet of the season has to be the 6/4 he will be sent to the stands by a referee and be banned by the football league

good luck to sunderland but in all truth i cant see you lot doing anything this yr probally finish 10th and before you shout at me i think we will be lucky to finish in the top ten of the PREMIER LEAGUE

and another thing
shearer was found NOT TO BE GUILTY on the challenge on neil lennon and it was accidental :P :P :P

i see you asked the question jonny about mary poppins \"who did he score his last goal against?\" well he didnt score his last goal at SOL, i think youll find he scored it from the penalty spot against celtic in his testimonial!! :D :D

\"and another thing
shearer was found NOT TO BE GUILTY on the challenge on neil lennon and it was accidental\"

Aye, that\'s right Paul, the FA wouldn\'t want to upset the england captain ;)

A manager moulds the team to play the he way he wants the team to play. I thought you would know that. Come on, NUFC were hardly known for free flowing football before keegan took over were they?!??!

Aye, might as well start off at a little club down on their luck. There\'s not many start at big clubs and do well. Look at Southgate, Brian Robson!

Wait for the bite ;)

\"ok it was brian who asked the question iam getting old and under the influence of several glasses of a very nice merlot!!! \"

Rose tinted glasses Flatty? :P

Howay Jonny, is that the best you could do mate. You have been the one keeping this thread going-ish. You can\'t just do that man lmao.

Jim.

Where were Newcastle heading before Keegan took over??? what was the crowd average?? how much managerial experience did he have? ;)

Proberbly the 2nd Division But NEVER to the THIRD ;)

Crowd always seems to be an issue - but cant find a league game ever being less than half the actual capacity of the ground

None -BUT he KNEW what it meant to the Fans - Does Keane ??

AND one more thing i cannot see ANYONE at Nufc EVER admitting that your bitterest rivals are BIGGER

Quote - If i can get this right we will be bigger than Newcastle - Naill Quinn - Unquote

Quote - we have the systems in place to be bigger than Newcastle - Roy Keane - Unquote

NOW that is priceless - you couldnt even buy that quote on your Master Card :P :P

and by the way this is getting a bit tedious - but S`pose it keeps everyones fingers supple for the catch reports in the next few weeks

after having a look there is a few games that wouldnt reach capacity crowd if doubled ,but hey so be it

\"Where were Newcastle heading before Keegan took over???\"

My memory must be shot, I thought Keegan returned as manager in 92 and saved then from relegation to the old third division? Didn\'t it go down to the last game of the season Leicester away and there was talk of them going bankrupt if they didn\'t survive? I\'m sure Keegan had no previous mangerial experience, but I might be wrong.
The lowest league crowd that season was about 13000, I can\'t remember Sid James only ever holding that amount.

I\'ll not mention what happened the following season, Andy Cole etc lol ;)

Also forgot to say, of course Newcastle are currently a bigger club than Sunderland, higher league status, bigger crowds, bigger turnover etc. I don\'t see what\'s wrong with stating the obvious.

ps Ya right Bri, this is getting a bit tedious :D

Bet you\'s aint got draught stongbow in the ground, Knerr Knerr!! :D
