Was hoping this appointment wouldn't happen. Keegan is on a hiding to nowt as all the clever lads will be expecting the same as the last Keegan era. Just hope he's given time to try to turn things around before people start getting on his back.

Have to agree with Mark, best 5 yrs of foota at St.James's so fingers crossed it works this time round aswell.
 
He done us proud for 5 years lets give the man a chance and hope he can do it again oh happy days..........they might have well just returned.

more than likely, but they expect that of everyone! he's the one man they might actually give a bit of time to try sort things out

Lol. Good manager, did you's proud, got you feeling proud of your club again last time round. Just go to be patient! My 10 year old son (he's a traitor and I shud disown him if he hadn't disowned me first) is chuffed to bits!
 
wouldnt of been my first choice but could be the one man who can turn us around with all that backing we should get off the owner now, he has now got to put his money up and let kev spend and sell lets back him as only the geordies can and give him time to get us back to entertaining football .Shearer as his num 2 ? dont think it will happen but who knows . Ive still put tenner on stoke to win 2-1 lol (yesterday)
 
bet he's a Manc, (plus he's obviously suffering a very advance case of 'Ginger')

every manc speaks the same of shearer, mainly because he turned them down

he spent a skip load of money last time not so sure he,ll have the finance available this time but we'll see i dont suppose he would have took the job without somesort of promise on spends. i was in eindhoven to see england v portugal in 2000. what i saw was a team whose tactics played into the hands of the opposition, we were rescued by sven in the qualifiers after that. he did nowt with man city! i think he is very similar to allardyce in many respects reasonably successful at one club. we shall see if results dont go for him how long it will be before he chucks his toys out the pram!!!;)
 
problem is not the money, its who to buy, there's not many players you could call world class available, chelski, the Mancs and Arsenal have bought em all
