Leaving gift from work was a Kindle

Not a gadget I'd have bought for myself but have been looking at them with interest for quite a while.

I'm bit of an "old skool" reader (or thought I was) IE got to have a proper book in my hand and was a bit dubious about them...got to say though that they're really rather good!

Thanks to the internet I now have 1000+ books to get through as well

anyone else got one?

Never even heard of them till now mate - thought kindle was something to do with starting fires! Now, "e-book" I understand.........

Not something i fancy though our book is coming out for one.
I just cannot get away with reading info from a screen,really struggle and to be honest the ads say.
Portable,handy,can be read in bright sunlight??
Yeah so can a book and how many book do you want with you at any one time?

worraboot battery life though?

I bet you it can't last more than 40 hours of use and standby (I couldn't figure out how to turn it off at first...who honestly reads instructions? :red: )

depends what you do with it I guess. the bairn has gone 14 solid hours of hd video and internet with his which seems canny

I think the black and white screen is the big battery saver for a kindle
