just got back, went with scotty to fish 2 down 2 up. we both had the odd nock here and there, also lost a few to the kelp each, scotty lost what looked to be a codling of a few lb it splashed one last time and was gone :-(. I managed 1 size coalie of about 1lb, that being my first fish off the rocks. endless snags n snap offs, 2 birds nest puttin two multis out of action. in a way a total mare but thats fishing aint it! rough with the smooth :-)

Where king eddies rocks If yas don't mind me askin and Scott there's plenty more time to catch your pb winter just starting really

Yes m8 thats castle rocks fish it 2 hours either side of low water

NO !! Look at the priory castle the pier is down the bank to your right but font go down head left and theres a beach down the left hand side of the castle the rocks below are castle rocks on the left hand side of the beach heading towards longsands is king eddies rocks theres 3-4 different marks on the rocks themselves

oops miss read that lol, my mistake thats haven rocks castle rocks to the left walk down the stairs to left hand side of the pier and that is castle rocks all the way around to the beach side of the priory

as david said 3-4 different marks. can also fish king eddies bay side of the rocks aswell.

it is easier to access the rocks from the pier as the stairs at king eddies are a killer with all your gear and the rocks are covered in horrible slimy weed coming from the beach itself so i fidn it easier from the pier side. plus easier as know stairs to climb back up.

The rocks to the right of the pier is the haven not king eddies, the beach just below on the north side of the priory at tynemouth is king eddies you have the Scotia and Castle rocks on the right hand side of the bay and the oxfold and lobster pot to the left

if your standing at king eddies bay looking seaward and its the rocks that are exposed to the left this is sharpness. were you below the priory castle when fishing ?

if you had the promenade to your back it is sharpness. the flat rocks straight down from corner of prom are lobster pots best fish on small to medium tides after a decent sea bigger tides it tends to empty out a bit much. can fish in a small swell but avoid fishing it in big seas as the water is not deep and can easly be hit by a rogue wave.

another mark on their is **** hill this can be accessed on the bigger tides this is further up from lobster pots. 2 hours either side of low water is best.

very kelpy and snaggy so 30lb line and rotten bottoms are needed for these marks. cast 60 yards no further big cocktail baits are best. both marks will cost you a lot of tackle i lost ten weights on tuesday night but it can throw up some really good fish.
