fished it tonight got there 1 hr before low tide 1st chuck undersize dab on the small rod big fat one on the big rod, nice start . another small one next chuck then it went a bit quiet at slack water .when the tide started coming back in i loaded a big bait up as the surf had started to get up , it wasn't it the water 2 mins before the rod tip was rattling away in the stand then in comes a silver stickleback just over minimum size @ 42cm ,1 more small dab before the bait ran out a nice 3 hours out bait used lug & squid ..

well you know the saying big hooks will catch bigh fish but small hooks will catch everything ,the big fish were caught on big hooks the small on small hooks

Are you fishing the beach and casting up the middle?

exactly right :thumbup: the water cant be very deep there though ? any ideas ,there is a big tide next tues so i might head down for another session ,only trouble its not low water till 11.35 i think
