Does anyone use the Century Kompressor Sport, the old model think its around the 13.5ft if so what are they like for bite detection, pulling the plug oot the sea and for casting??
Cheers

I've used the SS, and this one is meant to be softer but you'd need to be 6ft 6 and built like a Brick to fully compress it. The s is stiffer, they are great rough ground rods and will rip kelp off rocks no bother. I would advise you cast one
Before your buy one, there not everyones cup of tea :)

the original Kompressor sport isnt that powerful and nothing like the newer models.

i bought one as a rough ground rod and hated it.

i also won one and sold it imediately.

it was softer actioned and no more powerful than a tip sport.

but..... it was thicker and heavier.

got the ss round xmas time me likey likey very much .prefer the tip tornado for general fishing work at the moment . only time will tell if the ss will become first choice. hope u enjoy the rod if u get it mate.:)

Go for a mark 1 carbon metal crest over a mark 1 kompressor sport crest is much better rod. Metal band kompressors are nice rods tho.
