I fished there on good friday and managed 3 trout, 2 at 3lb and one at 21/2lb. Lost another 6 fish, all throwing the hook after being hooked at distance, taking the fly on the drop before just as I started my retrieve.
Took mine on a goldhead olive damsel.
One thing I noticed with the 3lbers is their lack of fight, they just hung in the water like a dead weight and didn\'t fight much on the way in. Maybe its still early in the season for them.

i was the same yesterday fish wern`t feeding on any thing specific just nipping at out that passed there nose got fish on various fly`s at different levels in water from fishing with goldheads to small montanas on floating line water still cold so fish a bit lethargic. thats a big word isin it. might try a couple of hours at tunstall later if a can be botherd.
