you cant fish in the port, there are not many ports you can fish in, and they are very strict about it, you will get away with fishing just the other side of the harbour below the restaurant, mainly small mullett, and sometimes on the begginning of the Quay wall, look out for the two big rays 150-200lb that live in the harbour. You can fish at the end of the harbour and the back of the wall, species all sorts of bream, i got some good ones to over 2lb last year October, i used float fished bread (sqeezed tight) at about thirty foot (sliding float) mullett, loads of small in the harbour, keep feeding bread and you might get a shoal of decent mullett coming by, best last yaewr 4lb, lost two bigger ones, loads of garfish, float fished anything about three feet deep. Try using small bait fish "borgas" for the odd small tuna or barracud, did not see any myself but the locals have apparently had a few. Arracife pier is supposed to be the hot spot, tried begginning of this year, one local got into something big but it got off, i only had a few small fish then the port security chased me off with the car, although a well known north east angler said there was no problem taking your car on. You do need a licence but nobody seems to bother. Local fresh fish shop just beside car park where you can get prawns, shellfish etc for bait and there is a tackle shop just up the road.
