Lanzerote shore fishing

Had a trip over to my sisters a week ago and took some shore gear and a couple of rods to leave for gail (sister) and les (her partner) to use and keep .
My intention was to fish on the night and try for stingrays , taking bluey and Mackey over and fishing with a kompressor s and 7500 with 30lb p-line and using up and over rigs with plated braid hook lengths and size 5/0 sakumas ..( no prisoners haha )
Fishing the beach at Puerto del Carmen just 300 yards from wor Gail's house the 3 of us had a go and only gail catching

I had a couple of clicks but my bait was being stripped by small fish

Next I tried the rocks at the old town with floats and isome worms and squid strip and caught a few of these



Amazing blue fins forget the name of them

Fished the beach a couple of nights with no stingers so decided to try a little pier next to the dive centre , les dives there and knows where the reef is .
Gail caught a couple of boga that I used for bait

And les caught a small scorpion fish

I used the life guards chair for a rest haha

And had this

And a lizard fish

All in all a canny week

The blue on those fishes fins is really striking. Did you find out what species they are? They look like a type of wrasse.

It has really come out in the photos. Usually when I catch a fish with bright colours it doesn't quite show in the pic.
