Last trip down skeggy

Hi lads last trip to Skegness on Thursday going to be a long day traveling down at 4 am tides not that great fishing tide out then a bit in but one thing down that coast I found get fish both states of the tide bates taken down will be fresh crab , was down that coast fishing in June had a good day with fish rangeing from 3lb to 6lb this time hopefully bigger as I got my self some vasstec waders , as last time casting off beach as people were walking 50 yards in to water casting further and picking up bigger stuff so I am hoping to get a big one this time I will post on day with report

Clearly you do yes. . . . .OVER 200 yards with bait and your still being outcast. . . . . . . . . .

I don't think it's the rod think it's the style of your cast to get both right takes time with the right gear that suits the places you fish and if you can compress the rod to its full percent of comprestion. I use a greys nitra 13ft 6 inches and I can cast over 200 yards with bate my reel is an 525 penn USA

Well fished from 8 am till 14-00 all I can say is crap not one bite between 5 sea was to ruff and north winds kept the hounds away but all ways a next time

Cheers for the update,was wondering how you got on,it's been the same here,too ruff for the hounds/rays & when it calmed dwn it became to clearnot had much myself in the last month really,all dwn to the wrong conds....It'll b cod time soon anyways lol.

Hi hound I was told that a lad the day before had one out over 20lb and two over 10lb and more smaller ones but the forcast on that day was ideal for hounds I can only get down to fish round my job all ways next year
