 Right lads ,just got me sel a led lenser h7r headlight,it came with three 900mAh AAA Ni-Mh rechargeable battries,im happy with the set up,great light, but just wondering what other battries would it take .if out happens to the ones i got? Theres not a lot of 900s about ,i know you can get em ,but have they got to be exactly the same mAh ,to use in the light or can you put 1000 mAh in without killing the light:question::question::confused:

Are they ok seatroot with them batts in mate, just wondering like, just incase ah need to get some new ones sometime mate CHEERS

i bought one a few weeks ago.....

with the original batteries i only get 1hr on full power, but..... you dont need it that bright. with the dimmer switch you can vary it to what you need. i rarely use mine above half way. it now lasts me a 5hr match.

initially, to try and get it to last longer i bought a set of 1000ma nimh rechargables £2.99. these still only lasted 1hr.

again in an attempt to get a longer run time i even bought a set of 1100s for £13  .... they last no longer.

but.... i now have lots of spares.

buy a set of rechargables and keep them charged up as a spare set in your bag. the make you buy wont effect your headlamp.

i already had the energiser ones of my old cree head torch and they work spot on do last longer than the ones in the torch, but the ones in torch are ok if the light is not on full power. as mentioned you dont really need it on full power. always good to have the spare ones though.

Av had mine 2years now and battery's still going strong I get 3 session out of mine but a don't have it on constant but good light would defo recommend mate

The mAh or milli amp-hour rating on the battery is its power rating, it tells you how much current it will provide for how long. Eg a 600mAh battery wont last as long as a 1200 mAh battery. The torch or whatever will only pull the current it needs so really the bigger the figure the better. Provided the voltage is the same, as that's where overloading/underloading would happen and you could damage lamp

Lenser H14R

Lenser H14R

I was thinking about buying a Lenser, there are two models the H14R and H14R-7499R.
The only difference I can see one has a 16h burn and the other has 25h burn, obviously this depends on how there used. China comes to mind with stuff like this, has anyone bought one lately and where from - any feedback welcome.
Just told the Chief Electrician on the rig to get a box of mega mha AA batteries ordered in
anticipation.
