What lamps (other than on your heed) do people use? :question:

Up to 7 hours on the lower setting?? Can't imagine these will be much kop. A good headlamp will be ample for all night fishing requirements. I used to have a northstar, but to be honest I don't really miss it.

just fish down hendon, the burning cars offer a good amount of light, and have the added bonus of keeping your back warm as well

Tony, I don't use anything other than a headlight, especially on the rocks mate. I find they are very dangerous as you can't see past the light. Also a bloody pain in the @rse when you are getting someone elses light in your eyes in the dark. Lol @ Mark.

It was a spot that I used to enjoy fishing Paul, two friends of mine were lucky when a car came over the top and narrowly missed them. I decided then that I would give it a miss.

Shame aswell jim not many places you can fish straight from your car directly into the sea is a good shot aswell in the right conditions not worth the risk tho ive been there before years ago dodging cars coming off the cliff tops.

sorry for the hijacking of the thread mate as other say probs just of better with a decent headlamp less gear to carry about although one thing i do carry is a very bright led wind up torch just incase the worst comes to the worst with headlamps.

I remember when i worked at sunderland about 5 one morning i went down there on my own, im not sure how i managed it but i managed to lock up 2 scroates from 2 seperate stolen cars at the same time!!!!

arsewipes were rallying around down there!

I have one of these and they're ideal for hanging in ya beach buddy...

funnily enough I got the idea from a certain publication ...reckon I may as well get one as an additional light source, as well as one of them Brollies your mate Mr Yates has written about 2 months on the trot...
