Has anyone bought one of these rods yet and can recommend/dissuade? More to the point, has anyone bought 1 and decided it isn't for them? Thinking about buying the mid-range, mixed ground 1 and selling my WR300 (can't cast it).

I've got the ultra power and must say its a class rod for 150 quid handles everything u throw at it mate

Great rod. Only had it out a hand full of times as just got it for Christmas. In my opinion it is a good all rounder and is as at home in the rough stuff as is off the beach.

If you are selling the WR300 as you are having problems bending it I would steer clear of Ultra Power as it takes a lot to get the best cast out of that blank

I've got the Power and for spec for the money is great - I'm happy and also people far more knowledgably about rods than me have been very, very impressed. To top it off even comes with decent rod bag too!
