Not sure about the other models but the ultra power is a really good blank but has sh**e build quality. I popped 2 inserts out the eyes a couple of weeks ago and on Saturday while I was kneeling on it over the cliffs and my mate was hand balling a good 7lb+ fish up, the tip eye snapped dropping the fish and making the rod completely unusable.

I had the icon power now got the icon match, for the price the rods are spot on in my opinion, the power is a good all round rod beach or rocks. the match is just as good use it on the beach and the pier.
but my best rod is my zipplex sst tend to use that one more than the icon,
I just like the feel of the rod, I could never afford to buy a new zipplex got this one second hand of my m8 perfect.

Heard that a few times, decent blank for the cash but built isn't the best. Ole tt second hand century's on here aswell as another option....

Not trying to be funny m8 but to answer your quest its realy what you are comfortable wth yourself.
I have always thought on these lines you dont need stiff
rods for heavy ground.
