got 1 of these day be4 christmas eve on internet, took it out for a go that night thought it was good but the next day the light just came on itself whilst i was in the kitchen and wont go off unless i take the batteries out,, even with normal batteries in it wont switch off, when i plug charger in it goes off but doesnt charge, absolute foaming with it

Dont go all guns blazing just yet buddy.
I had this problem a few weeks ago when fishing the pier. I put new batteries in and it came on itself. Later when I got home I discovered that the wire from the 'Try Me' switch that was on the packaging of mine so you could see how powerful the light was before buying it... anyways the wire from that had ended up wrapping itself around the metal metal battery connectors (the spring bit).
Once i cut the wire well short so it couldnt touch the connectors anymore, it worked perfectly.
A dont know if this could be the same problem with yours mate but its at least worth a try...

tried my new h14r lenser today.
best lamp ive ever had.

Got mine Christmas day too!!, me Mam got mine from CPS (Cell Pack Solutions), where she works in the Tedco Business Park
. Look cracking, cannot wait to use it. As said mines also the H14-R, so gonna go n get some very good re-chargeable Duracell batteries from wilkinsons tomorra, that way av got a spare set for those longer sessions when ya headlamp may run out of power...
