my reply to the email

Thank you for your email

I think this is just going to be another stealth tax by the labour party
If the truth be known
The only people that will benefit will be the fat cats that get the big jobs and flash cars to go with the jobs
Anglers have tried to gain access to meetings and have been denied access
Its not about angling at all
I run a fishing club in south shields(the cleadon club)
The town that Mr miliband is meant to represent and he is not representing any angler in this town
By going ahead with this stealth tax
I am a member of a fishing web site in the north east
www.nesa.co.UK

And not one member of that site agrees with the proposal

So why go ahead with it
You cant honestly tell me that the money coming in will do anything to get fish stocks back
It will all be filtered away in keeping the
"JOBS FOR THE BOYS"
On super salaries
But its the same old scenario
We get took to the cleaners every time

my wife is a traitor
she is meeting him on thursday to get an award
the two faced swine
i told her she has to pay the licence
so dont be to pally with him
hahaha

when he says improve the fish stocks of interest to recreational anglers hes probably bleating on about bass and other speceies we dont see much of in the n/e milliband and his cronies are just going to create jobs for the boys tosser. as for the licence being welcomed id like to no who by

Mr Milliaband is also a member of the Cleadon Club - can he join the fishing club next year ??

Maybe if he came to our meetings on the last Thursday of every month ,he might get a true feeling of what his Dept. is trying to organise

So ...David Milliband represents his constituents so lets openly invite him to meet local anglers(VOTERS) in his constituency...as a nsfc representative for the region north of the tyne and I am sure the angling rep for the south of the tyne would turn up...lets see what he has to say to benifit RSA's in the region.

I will email him requesting such a meeting and would suggest everyone reading this thread does the same...lets find out whats going on .

Send him an email ...ask for a meeting with RSA's and lets find out what the local MP's thoughts are on the future of our local waters. I think a license introduction may also be brought up ;).

mailto:[email protected]

As south shields falls exactly on the boundary between the Nsfc and the NEsfc I have phoned the NEsfc angling rep (who is currently in belguim lobbying for the protection of sharks) and he has guaranteed he will make any meeting arranged.

So Mr Miliband...please come and meet your angling constituents and let us know your plans and intentions.

Cheers
Dave Morton

im sure any meeting would have a good turn out i for one would like to hear what hes got to say i also think you have to get the tackle shop owners involved as i can see them losing out big time as a lot of people will end up packing it up after all who wants to pay to catch the same if not less than they caught when it was free

allow me to translate from government speak:

Dear Mr Slesser,

I am writing to you only because the parliamentary standards act says I have to

why do you think what you have or anyone else has to say is important to us?? We don't care.

This is what the spin doctors say its all about so just be pleased you've got a reply from a real and genuine MP, cos we are really busy and important people.

our real concern with this issue is how much we can screw out of you and anyone else that has a passing interest. the cost to the individual doesn't bother us at all cos we're on £79 grand a year basic plus as much as we can fiddle on expenses so do us all a favour and stop whingeing, we'll get the money off you somehow, and you'll see sod all for it except an annual increase in the cost.

Think yourself lucky, my MP Alan Beith knew nothing about the Marine Bill white paper when I e-mailed him. He wrote back and asked me if I was happy about it? If I was a landed gentry though wanting to be able to chase old foxy loxy he'd have been straight on the case. NUGGET!

I decided to have a read of this white paper, the first thing I noticed is they want £32.50 if you would like a hard copy :o

white paper

white paper

its no just the license. but bag limits and bait digging for rag n lug and the collection of crabs........read the marine bill on defra.gov.uk
