COME ON

Thought i would see loads of catch reports still from the boats, flat seas, mackerel still kicking about, some wrecks still producing, codling, pouting, whiting and wrasse over hard ground and very few reports.

JFK had a few good fish the other day as normal and a few pritave boats been doing well.

I was wondering why the boat forum has been so quiet.

I blame norman and bert... ;);)

I was hoping to get out at least three or four times over the last fortnight...but work has turned up so fishing has to wait...Oh and I still cant get the boat out of the drive.

Saving up now for our weekend away in scrabster. been up to sunderland today collecting mussels for the trip...what a boring job it is shelling them. Had an hour at it tonight and have a takeaway rice container full...still got about 15 kg to go :)

Cheers
Dave.

sold one boat (although no sign of the readies yet) and still not got around to getting the other back on the road!

have thought about having a sneaky one, but knowing my luck I'd take the boat out and there's be some disaster or other prior to it getting collected by its new owners!

LOL Dave, maybe your right there I`ve not been out for a few weeks .......... work has taken the forefront I`m afraid, but I`m still looking forward to a bit of uptiding soon (I got just the crew in mind for the anchor retrieval tasks :) .... may take a bit of teasing but it surprising what they`ll do for a sip of red wine ) :) :) :)

Norman,

Have you ever tried an alderney ring for anchor retrieval, it makes it very easy going and speeds things up when you want to change marks. It also allows you to recover the anchor on your own and without breaking into a sweat.

Just dont tell the crew ;)

Cheers
Dave
