I am going on holiday over in Maryport [near siloth] just wondering if anyone know where to fish and if anyone knows if you can catch mackrell on the pier in maryport cheers

i know a lot of lads over here go flatty bashing over silloth, there's really good flatty sport over there.

maryport prom can chuck some good sized plaice out, as for bait, take a fork with you and dig on the beach before you fish for lugworm. Use a simple 1up 1 down rig or a wishbone rig and get a pack of bluey, the plaice go nuts for this just a small cube will do to tip the lugworm off.

not sure if theres macky on the pier but i cant see why not as a little further down the road at whitehaven theres plenty
