do you put lobster in from the start ie when water is cold and bring to the boil and then boil for ten minutes if you understand what i am saying ??.

god no!

tried it once on a crab, it was a big un mind you, claws bigger than my hands :o

shoved a muckle big dive knife right between its eyes... It pulled the knife back out and would let go of it! got a photo os it somewhere waving a knife around in one hand a potato masher in the other, don't why I gave it a tattie masher, possibly to temporarily confuse it so I could get the knife back off it

when it did let go, moved it over to the pan, which was the biggest I could find. it splayed its legs out so I couldn't get the thing in the pan in a you're not putting me in there stylee (can't blame it like)

so thought right I'll drop it in upside down, which I did and slammed the lid on

it kicked the lid off!

hat to hold the lid on for about 10 seconds before it, err... relaxed a bit!

off to hunt for pics of it now

Another tip is to make sure the poor critter gets fully submerged straight away, you wouldn't it's tail thrashing boiling water all over especially if ya standing there with no top on :red:
