Lobster Pots

Im sure this has been asked in the past but cant find any referrence. I'm toying with idea of a laying couple of Lobster pots this summer (Ive got the gaps for traps and the licence) the problems is Ive searched ebay and other sites and at the moment the pots seem a little on the expensive side. If my memory serves me right I'm sure I read a while back on NESA that the was a lad making and selling pots from Sunderland. Any information or pointing in the right direction where I might get a hold of a couple of pots would be gratefully recieved :red: Cheers

8 or 10mm plastic coated steel, black braid covers and knitted eyes, £20 unroped, £25 roped

Commercial fisherman most of his life so he should know what he's doing!

I just trawl along the beach after a good storm, usually find one or two and then fix them up

just had a look at those in port seton.

canny pots, but they are prawn pots (120mm eyes)

you'll get no sized crabs in em cos the eyes are 2 small unless you remove them and open the entrance up
