local bait eyemouth

The beach at the pier at Berwick used to be a cracking spot for lug mate. Last time I dug there it was hard work though compared to what it was but still able to get enough for a sesh in an hour or two.

also burnmouth their is some cracking rag thier but is hard digging with the spit or turn some of the rocks over rag are also under thier

Lug bed at Berwick has just about been wiped out by commercial diggers. Its hard work but you can give it a go. Not sure where else is good, if you go further north then beach at dunbar is good. Your not allowed to dig at Burnmouth now.

Thought as much. In the eighties you could enough for an all day sesh in half an hour no problem.
