When I first joined Nesa I noticed a lot of threads and posts ending "lol".
I thought this bloke lol was into everything.
My daughter reckons that it meant "Lots of Love" , surely not from a load of burley Northeast Fishermen, I thought maybe I had joined the southern section.
Then I thought it must mean "lots of lugworm", so now we could have
lof = lots of fish
kof = keep on fishing



PS : I know it means lots of laughs, before I get all the replies

Theres me thinking it meant Laugh out Loud. lol.

lol,his brother is called bump.he always on here aswell.:red:
 
When I first got a mobile I thought it stood for lots of love and couldn't understand why teenage girls from my youth theatre kept texting it to me. I eventually spoke to one of the girls I knew well and said that I thought it was a bit inappropriate!! Well she certainly did Laugh Out Loud!

I am still trying to live that one down 10 years on!! :red:
