Hi Lads,
just a quick report from Saturday.
I had a call for a booking, a bachelor party from lads at Durham !! I thought this would be a hard one, drink on Friday rolling up on Sat half cut, none had fished nor held a fishing rod and never been on a boat.
when they turned up, it turned out they were a few student teachers and lawyers from Durham university and 3 from the church, not a hint of drink.
with a couple of prayers and hymns on the way out for a sporty day, over shadowing the rugby songs from the deckhand !!
A nasty choppy swell and with the strong winds fresh off the land and white tops on the water basically from the shore line they still wanted the day even though it would only be right inshore.
steamed out and tried to get shelter from the cliffs but still uncomfortable for any novice angler never mind a boat full.
fishing baited hokkais and daylights they got into small fish from the start, with all fish returned, they were delighted in the boat ride and the catches.
only one was sea sick and they stuck it all day, being fed tea and coffee and all tangles sorted with my deck hand for the day run off his feet.
just a few shots of the day, nothing big but steady sport all day.
a solitary mackerel played game for one lucky angler
a great day had by all, with the delight of the sea and mother nature a smiles going home.
