Though like all records, the distance recorded 'off the court' could be up to 2-3m out (2 chord court) - I think that all BIG casts should be staked and then measured back to the oche to establish the 'true' distance.
Not taking anything away from Tel, that is a very long way when using a Spinner.
Just my thoughts.

Now that's one big cast, well done to Tel ,it beats Danny's best, im sure ive heard of casting at altittude in south africa in excess off 350m some years back. if anyone has more info on this ,it would be an interesting topic

hello Will as far as I can remember there was casts done years ago1960-1970,s in south africa in exess of 300meters but the line they used was like nylon stocking stuff like 20denier and the rods were purglas rods and at the time I think that they was made out of fibreglass , if this is of some help or try the purglas site in south africa
