Looking forward now to the 2012 season ....
Just filling in time here and reminiscing about times out in the past (mainly by watching past videos on youtube and vimeo)
I think one of the most memorable days over the past few years (and there's been a few) was this one (below) in July 2010, that, I think, was the day we realised how much fun shads could be.
Maybe not the best video of the series but in my mind certainly the best day out in years..... simply awesome ..........
Understand shads are not an all year round lure and other lures and bait have their times, but when the sea is alive with bait fish and the sun is rising on a good summers day with the birds going ballistic overhead, well, there's nothing better ...

Wonderful video mate, I wish I knew how to make one of them. Your talents are wasted on here, you should be making documentaries on TV!

Can you remember the day I was aboard Slinky, Steve was just about to lower orange muppets baited with fresh macky and I was about to try a herring storm shad, Steve asked which you thought was going to do the business.

I don't think I got more than 3 winds after hitting the bottom.

Aye keith, had some good un especially the last couple of seasons .....
remember the day on slinky when went no further than *&^%$ and filled the boxes with pirked and shad'd fish

not looking like the great weather is going to hold out for this weekend but I think it'll still be do-able ... here's hoping as the cod will be queueing up shortly

just spent the arvo tying rigs and watching NUFC beat Kenny Dalglish and his Toon rejects

Anywho...new rod now arrived, box muster complete and I'm raring to go!

Oh and I'm now a fully reformed character behind the steering wheel too
