well had a look down at the huegh thisevening just for a walk to find a new fence half erectedon the top half of the pier just at the bottom of the steps then a little further along on the bottom a gate dose this mean its going to be a no go zone thru the winter months or not as this pier by far is personally my favourate peir in the are also noticed i bigger section of steetly has been removed only recently

pertsonnaly for me its my favorite venue and id rather be on there than anywhere else had my personal best from there and been colse to beatinmg it a few times sad days

It is the Domino Effect in action. Steetly was the first to fall, it is obvious from reading the boards that the chavs and numpties have moved on to the Heugh so it will have to be made "impossible" to access. So they will move on to the Middleton or the Red Light and the same will follow and the famous piers of Hartlepool where many (myself included) first learnt to fish will all be a distant memory.

Fished it for the first time the other month with my uncle, good spot although it didnt fish for us...

Was a load of numptys on though, bad news for the local anglers!

wonder how long it will be before they shut all the piers in the north east, shields pier has gates on it but its easy to climb around probly wont be long untill they make the gates even bigger though. :(

they tried it at skiningrove but soon as they erected some gates the locals came out wit a still saw cut them down :D:D:D:D:D

it is a shame tho its the first pier i ever fished its the pier i was was shown how to fish on but in saying that where there is a will there is a way i know i wont be fishing the middleton or the piolet pier its just not the same and neither is the fishing its always been very poor fishing when i been on them
